Who we're looking for
We are looking to a Valuation Analyst to join our Private Equity Operations team. The Valuation Analyst will be an integral part in executing the monthly valuation process for our semi-liquid product offerings. You will be instrumental in shaping the valuation processes, the control environment and advancing the use of technology.
The position will offer a fast-paced and intellectually challenging work environment that offers accelerated exposure to private markets and increasing responsibility.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge within the private market space.

The Team
Schroders Capital is the private markets investment division of Schroders Group. With $65bn AUM and 498 employees we cover a broad range of asset classes out of 19 offices globally. We provide investors with access to a broad range of private equity investment opportunities across buyout and growth investments, as well as for venture capital with a focus on what we consider the most attractive parts of the global private equity market.
The base
You'll be based at our Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. That's our operations hub – home to our client servicing, product reporting and operational oversight for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. To expand our team in Zurich, we are looking for an ambitious talent for the position.
What you'll do
- Support the development of our private equity valuation practice and design and optimize internal processes as well as valuation-related controls in light of a variety of regulatory aspects
- Monitor and perform valuations of our direct and co-investments, primary and secondary fund investments
- Produce concise, informative portfolio company reviews and valuation reports for a variety of recipients (such as board, audit committees and investor communication)
- Maintain and build meaningful relationships with investment partners, investors, administrators and other external stakeholders
- Stay ahead of industry trends, monitor market events, and assess the impact on valuation requirements
- Support special projects within your area of responsibility
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Experience in the financial industry, within the area of valuation, audit or controlling
- Familiarity with the principles and methodologies used in illiquid assets’valuation
- Degree in a relevant discipline such as business, finance or accounting (CFA charter holder or working towards a similar designation would be considered a plus)
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Fluent in another European language, both written and spoken
