Job description
Job Summary: CGU, a leader in Utilities, seeks Telecoms Civils Teams. You'll support our telecoms division in various construction projects, working under supervision to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with utility civils tasks: excavation, trenching, backfilling.
- Perform manual labor, equipment handling, and materials management.
- Attend project briefings.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.
- Aid in infrastructure installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
- Report issues to supervisor.
- Collaborate with the team for project efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Participate in training and development.
Requirements:
- Utility or construction experience preferred.
- Knowledge of construction techniques and equipment.
- Physically fit and detail-oriented.
- Strong teamwork and communication.
- Safety-conscious and adaptable.
Minimum Training Competencies:
- Driving License
- CSCS/EUSR Telecoms (Operatives)
- Relevant plant certification (Within the team)
- Emergency First Aid @ Work (Within the team)
- NRSWA Operative LA + O1-S8 (Within the team)
- NRSWA Operative O1 (Operatives)
- HSG47/CAT & GENNY (Operatives)
- Smart Awards Card (Operatives)
- SA002/A9/SA006 – Underground Safety (Operatives)
