Urban Design Second & Third Year Undergraduate Summer Placement

About the Role:
An opportunity exists for an undergraduate urban designer to join the Manchester studio for between 4 to 6 weeks during the summer of 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to experience working in a multidisciplinary building design practice.
Our work is varied and includes masterplans, development frameworks, regeneration strategies, detailed planning and design studies, and community engagement. We undertake projects for public and private sector clients in the UK and increasingly worldwide. This placement will help develop your skills and experience in a supportive environment, while making a positive contribution to the urban design team in the Manchester studio.
About you:
We are looking for an urban design undergraduate who will have completed two or three years at university on a relevant course. You will have a creative approach to design, combined with excellent hand drawing and technical skills are required to communicate design ideas through a range of graphic styles and mediums. Candidates should also be able to show initiative and an ability to work within a team.
As an enthusiastic team player, you will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and backgrounds. You will also be a self-starter and able to work independently.
