PURPOSE OF JOB:

You will be responsible for maintaining and growing the Unified Communications division at Bytes, acting as a subject matter expert. You will be supporting a diverse group, including corporate and public sector sales, Hybrid Infrastructure overlay specialists & pre-sales. The role will involve regular customer facing opportunities and vendor/ distribution management, therefore having a good balance across all these areas is key.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To work closely with the Modern Workplace team, to align messaging and sales activity. Ensuring the messaging is integrated with MWP and projects are combined where possible.
  • Providing customer facing technical support to the sales teams, acting as a subject matter expert to clients.
  • To conduct detailed workshops for Microsoft Unified Communications solutions.
  • Have in depth knowledge of the UC and video vendors/ proposition & be confident in scoping projects and ensuring the most appropriate technical solution is chosen.
  • To be the conduit between the sales teams, vendors, distribution, and key customer stakeholders to drive key relationships
  • Be a target carrying head focused on growing the UC Revenue and GP number. A significant focus will be on driving the Teams number.
  • Working closely with inhouse pre-sales, support, delivery, and managed service teams

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactive engagement in developing and maintaining their own knowledge and experience to enable continued expertise in their field.
  • Be able to impart this technical knowledge to customers and train and enable sales teams
  • Work with sales and overlay teams to identify whitespace within accounts & proactively target customers with messaging
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities within pipeline opportunities for wider MWP proposition
  • Identify upsell / cross sell opportunities within and into current customer base
  • Provide the sales teams with up to date and compelling collateral and pipeline generating ideas
  • Organise regular reviews with team lead to ensure objectives are set and achieved
  • Pipeline progression and forecast accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Educated to A-Level standard

Professional Attributes:

  • Essential knowledge of the Microsoft M365 eco system and how Teams, places and productivity plays a role in customer success - Essential
  • A good broad working knowledge of UC technologies and toolsets: CUCM, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, Recording solutions and Session Boarder controllers. - Essential
  • Knowledge of Meeting Video Products and Infrastructure including Poly, Yealink or Logitech - Desirable
  • Knowledge of UC technologies and VOIP Enterprise voice solutions, importantly their application for a modern digital workplace. Skills in SIP, PSTN connectivity, QoS, VOIP solutions and contact centre solutions. - Essential
  • Understanding and knowledge of Adoption & Change Management - Desirable

Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a Unified Communication Pre-Sales role (ideally Vendor, Reseller or distributor experience)
  • Knowledge of selling UC solutions.
  • Customer facing experience
  • Vendor development management experience
