Underwriting AML/KYC Analyst
The opportunity
We’re looking for a/an Underwriting AML/KYC Analyst to join our expanding team based in London. Reporting to the Head of Underwriting the purpose of your role is to be responsible for completing KYC, AML and adverse screening checks for all individuals and businesses that are looking to acquire a merchant facility with us. You will join a team of 5 and be part of a growth business working with colleagues who care about our customers.
Working hours: 9.00 am to 5.30pm
In office/remote/hybrid: Hybrid
What you’ll be doing
- Acting as a first line of defence to identify and prevent fraudulent activity, money laundering, financial crime, and credit awareness checks to meet DNAP appetite
- Performing KYC (know your customer), KYB (know your business), PEP and Sanction screenings (onboarding and ongoing)
- Investigations of potential PEP/Sanction
- Obtaining relevant documentation to complete full KYC/KYB/EDD and banking checks
- Conducting investigations to check for adverse media, online presence, website investigation and understanding the business model and payment process
- Ensuring SLAS are met, and workloads are managed with efficiency
- Full assessment to conclude the overall outcome and presenting a recommendation based on findings
What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience within compliance, AML & financial crime or underwriting is a requisite
- Knowledge of card scheme requirements and AML regulations
- Knowledge of PEP and sanction screening desired
- Financials Analysis preferred
- An eye for detail
- Excellent team player to go above and beyond your role
