Moving Up – The Degree Apprenticeship programme

FOR ALL WHO KEEP THE WORLD MOVING
We at Daimler Truck Financial Services UK Ltd (DTFS UK) are an integral part of the biggest Truck and Bus manufacturer in the world – Daimler Truck AG. We have completely integrated the Truck and Bus solutions and by doing so, make the world of our customers and network of dealer partner’s easier. With our experience and deep expertise in the Truck & Bus business, we always find a solution for our B2B customers. Together, we create an environment of mutual appreciation and fun at work.
Not just any apprentice programme
Our Moving Up degree programme is designed with your development at its heart. We want you to become an expert in our business and make a real difference to the way we keep the world moving.
During the three year programme, you will work across a number of different teams within Daimler Truck Financial Services where you will gain an in-depth insight into how we work. Each placement will give you different skills, and in each you will have day-to-day responsibilities with real objectives and a chance to innovate. This, when combined with the academic knowledge you will gain at university will enable you to make a real impact. All this, while we pay you a competitive salary, and cover your university fees – it is an amazing opportunity to start your career on a solid foundation.
As part of the three year programme, you will study for a BA (Hons) Business Management degree which is accredited by the CMI (Chartered Management Institute), in partnership with University of Northampton. You will complete your degree through a mixture of virtual and on-campus study at Northampton University’s new Waterside campus.
Do you have what we are looking for?
You will have (or be predicted to achieve) at least 112 UCAS points at A-Level (or equivalent) in any discipline excluding General Studies. You will also have GCSE grade Level 4 in Maths and English Language (or equivalent). You should have great organisation skills, be IT literate and have a good attention to detail. Ideally, you will also hove some work/volunteer experience. More than this though, we want you to be passionate about joining our brand, proactive, confident and curious. If you think this is for you, apply now for one of our two placements.
To be successful at Daimler Truck Financial Services UK you need to be able to build great relationships and demonstrate your ability to work in a professional manner. If you can showcase all of these attributes and you're seeking a role where you can gain real business experience, then this could be the programme for you.
Benefits
As you'd expect, as a world class brand we offer world class benefits which include:
  • A competitive apprentice salary* with a 8% discretionary performance bonus
  • Heavily discounted Mercedes-Benz leasing scheme
  • 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays
  • Additional benefits, including pension scheme and private medical insurance
  • Access to academic community and facilities
  • Chartered Manager status
  • Support from a leadership team mentor from within the business
  • Regular reviews to support your progress
  • No university fees, these are paid for by us – earn as you learn
  • Each year you will have an opportunity to have your salary increased based on your academic and professional performance
After completing your online application, successful applicants will be invited to an assessment centre in February.
