Job Statement
The Job provides the vital link between the sonographer and the customer, ensuring that from the moment they arrive, their experience is a positive and enjoyable one. We are looking for an individual with a calm and caring manner and ability to build strong rapport with our customers. This role also involves some administration work, production of souvenir scan items, general retail work and keeping the scan clinic clean and tidy. You may be required to chaperone customers
We are currently a small business, having only recently started trading. With this in mind, the role may develop and change as time goes on and hours may be extended or changed.
Job Description
- Meeting and greeting customers, ensuring an outstanding experience is followed throughout the visit, ensuring all guests feel welcome and looked after. - Assisting in ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow under the direction of sonographer
- Having knowledge and understanding of all Magical Views products and services, including upselling of additional merchandise to customers.
- Chaperoning clients where required and supporting the Sonographer during ultrasound scans. Occasional intimate scans will be performed. Discretion and professionalism are essential.
- This work will involve occasionally being present while the sonographer delivers the worst news possible to expectant parent. The scan buddy will play a significant role in the care of these people and should be prepared and able to offer compassionate support.
- Keeping the equipment operating by following operating instructions - troubleshooting breakdowns - maintaining supplies - performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is kept throughout the studio which includes general cleaning duties
- Be aware of and adhere to all Magical Views ltd policies and procedures, including GDPR and health and safety
- Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to customer information
- Dealing with general enquiries face to face / over the phone/ email / social media
- Taking bookings and managing our booking system
- Taking payments
- General admin duties which include the use of a computer
- Stock management
- Assist with the production and sale of scan merchandise
- Being named lead for infection control, fire and hand hygiene
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Posting content on company social's

Currently the hours are fixed but may change as the business grows

Full-time hours: 40 per week
Permanent Salary: £11.00 per hour
Schedule: Weekdays and Weekends - Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday 10am - 6pm - Due to the nature of the business appointments may go over so flexibility in working hours will be required
Education: GCSE or equivalent (Preferred)
