As a team:

Reporting to the UK IT Support Manager, the Team lead will oversee the day to day management of remote sites, BAU and workstation engineers. As well as oversee the monthly image management release and updates, you will be the main escalation point for engineers and our customers.

You will work closely with the IT Support Manager ensuring that service quality is delivered, and that continuous service improvement is a key focus. Being proactive and a team player is key to this .

As a Team Leader you will:

  • Oversee escalations to support the wider CIO Team
  • Oversee the monthly image management release and updates
  • Demonstrate 3rd line technical troubleshooting skills
  • Have working knowledge and have demonstrated use of Microsoft deployment tools (ImageX, Sysprep, Windows ADK, WDS, MDT, DFS etc)
  • Have excellent knowledge of scripting tools to automate procedures (XML, VB, Powershell etc)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft USMT
  • Lead development of scripts and applications to help automate efforts for the local and wider teams.
  • Investigate and lead automation of tasks for teams using the technology we have available
  • Be responsible for maintenance of effective procedures and controls to ensure consistency and quality of build process and customer interactions.
  • Day to day management of your local and remote engineers.
  • Service review meetings with the wider business, being able to build key relationships with the business is essential.
  • Collaborate effectively across our support teams.
  • Effectively coach and develop direct reports within the team.
  • Manage and maintain asset management within your office.
  • Be cost aware, ensuring focus is maintained in providing the right costed solution for our customers
  • Proactive suggestions ways to ensure services remain cost efficient
