At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

Our clients tell us they want to be told something about their business they don’t already know, they want insights they aren’t getting from their systems and people. A role in Assurance Data & Analytics gives you great access to a vast array of clients and their Data, with your findings backed by the powerful EY brand.

Our clients range from household names, through to small businesses you simply wouldn’t think exist.

The opportunity

A typical day probably doesn’t exist, but if it did, it would involve talking to stakeholders to define the scope of an analysis, agreeing with a client’s IT team how you’ll receive the data, data wrangling and cleansing, followed by an analysis phase which could last minutes or weeks.

Your key responsibilities

After induction and onboarding you’ll be assigned a portfolio of engagements to manage. You will then be responsible for:

  • Owning & overseeing deliverables through their lifecycle, with a mix of new and recurring work:
    • Work with stakeholders to agree and deliver Digital plans that are tailored and commercially sound.
    • Share knowledge of our team deliverables (both internally & externally).
    • Timely planning and agreeing scope of work and dates.
    • Oversee the running of data capture and extraction from client systems.
    • Directing the delivery of EY Helix Analyzers and coordinating the support of junior team members.
    • Proactively intervene on scope, timeline, quality risks or issues to influence outcomes.
    • Fulfil reviewer role in more than one area and support & coach others seeking reviewer accreditation.
    • Act as a role model for consistently delivering high quality work.
    • Demonstrating excellent practice with data security and archiving in line with applicable policies.
  • Identifying opportunities to make our work, more efficient or effective:
    • Ensuring appropriate parts of Digital plans are delivered using our EY delivery centres.
    • Contributing to the adoption of new technology or assets by leading projects and sharing knowledge with team members.
    • Communicating effectively and timely with managers and stakeholders to handle issues, communicating bugs and improvements.
    • Driving adoption of improving workflow and data integration steps to achieve improved quality and efficiency.
    • Participating in our Quality Monitoring process and responding to improvement points.
    • Monitoring KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to drive the delivery of a successful support service outcome.
  • Helping support and nurture the next generation of digital talent:
    • Developing material, delivering and/or coordinating the delivery of impactful training in response to learner needs.
    • Coaching others in developing Digital plans and using EY Helix Analyzers to deliver insights.
    • Providing quality coaching for EY Helix Analyzer delivery and related processes.
    • Developing the careers, skills, and experience of teams through the EY counselling role.
    • Providing effective coaching for more junior members of the team, including Digital Apprentices.

Skills and attributes for success

  • A willingness to learn, to work outside your comfort zone, achieving a common goal, supported by a team with diverse backgrounds across a range of geographies.
  • Experience owning deliverables and performing detailed self-review of work.
  • Proven ability using technology and analytics to solve business problems, deliver insights, or create recommendations.
  • Great written and verbal communication, presentation and client service.
  • Strong team player with a solution focused attitude.
  • Ability to juggle multiple conflicting deadlines which typically occur during our busy period (Oct-April).
