Responsibilities

• Work as a full-time 18T driver for the Special Carrier
• Drive 18T vehicles safely throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland
• You are willing to upgrade driving in international countries throughout Europe
• Be confident in driving a 18T vehicle in both urban and rural areas
• Professionally load and unload vehicles
• Ensure transported goods are not damaged
• To carry out the daily checks on the 18 T vehicle to ensure safety and follow the correct procedures if not
• Good customer service when communicating with clients
• Represent The Special Carrier when on the job
• Check with clients at the point of delivery to confirm the order is correct and make sure all paper-work is completed
• Willing to be contacted on short notice
• Plan routes accordingly and meet delivery schedules
• Report your status to the office when you have reached the next stage in delivery
• Inform the office of delays as necessary
• Willing to work a few days on each mission
• Willing to work in a team, some jobs require double-manning

Required Documents and Skills

• Proof of right to work within UK
• Driving licence
• valid HGV driving qualification C or C + E
• CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Drivers Digital tachograph card
• Professional driving experience
• Communication and organisational skills
• Good knowledge of driving in London and willing to gain driving experience outside of the UK in Europe
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Drive and determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment
