Job description
Areas of Responsibility:
As Legal Trainee, you will have the opportunity to grow your legal knowledge with the support of your “trainee supervisor” until your transition into a qualified lawyer.
You will be a member of ERG’s Legal Affairs team, an international legal team tasked with ensuring the management of all legal issues pertaining to ERG’s business, across the development, construction and operations phases of our energy projects.
Your role will include:
- Conducting legal research
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Keeping up-to-date with developments in the law
- Assessing legal problems and producing legal advice
- Assisting with internal governance processes and company secretarial activities
- Developing and maintaining good client relation skills with the wider business
- Complying with the training requirements of the Law Society of Scotland’s training contract
Studies:
Bachelor's Degree in Scots law (LLB) and Scottish Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (DipLP).
Work Experience:
No experience needed.

English: fluent.
The knowledge of other languages will be considered a plus.

The legal traineeship is a 2-year, work-based training contract.
