GroupM UK Immigration & Global Mobility Partner 6 Month Fixed Term Contract The UK Immigration and Mobility Partner will manage all aspects of Immigration and Global Mobility for the UK, partnering with the HR teams to advise on processes – including coordinating with WPP and third party provider on maintaining immigration requirements, relocations, tax, and legal compliance and provide advice on global mobility policy, best practice, and compliance. You will assist in multiple initiatives to improve the total mobility programs, with a focus on driving efficiencies, managing risk and compliance, and identifying innovative solutions to meet the needs of a rapidly growing global and mobile employee base, whilst still staying within the parameters of local regulations. This role will be the primary contact for all issues in Immigration and Global Mobility for GroupM UK, the Groups Brands including policies and legislation. The position reports to the UK Sponsor Licence Holder (GroupM Executive People Director, EMEA). A key part of the role is being able to handle a fast moving, constantly changing environment. This role is central to maintaining compliance within all areas of operations, primarily in immigration and taxation, both personal and corporate. Areas of Responsibility: Immigration Manage UK immigration, visa, and work authorisation for UK inbound new hires, transfers, and business travel (where needed) Act as the primary compliance manager for the Centre’s license and manage the immigration (visa/work permit) services provided to authorise employees to ensure assignee's have the required visa, paperwork. Serve as the primary contact for UK on all immigration matters Partner with in-house legal counsel and external immigration vendors and lawyers. Maintain, monitor and report on the visa and work permit status for all authorised employees in the UK Partner with local HRBPs to report on UK immigration Partner with Payroll, HRIS and global HR staff to ensure that appropriate system interfaces are maintained and conduct audits to ensure that system data is accurate and up to date. Be UK immigration audit ready at all times and ensure that the Centre, and OpCos are compliant in all areas Facilitate internal education of the business by creating immigration process flows and procedures for talent acquisition and hiring managers. Ensure appropriate communications with all stakeholders and liaise with employees to keep them informed of progress during work authorisation process. Mobility Advice(International Relocation/Assignment Program) Work with the brands in GroupM to support with initiating and coordinating the business case preparation and sign off for all international assignments (permanent transfers, short-term and fixed term international assignments) from start to finish Be the main point of contact for business stakeholders to ensure an international move is the right thing to do (including commercial considerations) and is executed efficiently and compliantly. Consult and administer expatriate costs estimates and allowances in line with WPP processes Coordinate and advise on suppliers including Destination Services, Visa and Immigration, Household Goods etc. Manages and troubleshoots relocation related matters with employees, vendors, and the business. Works closely with WPP and tax advisors to advise on tax briefing and preparation for the employees as well as unforeseen tax implications for employees and GroupM based on the transfer. Creates and updates templates related to global mobility and keeps track of the assignment lifecycles and milestones. Reviews and coordinates expenses and costs for all UK global mobility cases. Work closely with counterparts around the world and WPP to ensure a smooth assignment experience, advising and coaching as necessary Business Travel/ Short Term Business Travel Advise on Short Term Business Traveller tax program, including working closely with our vendor partner. Ensure the right people in the UK are managing and tracking of the movement of employees in UK and/or out from UK, including expatriates, short-term assignee's, local transfers, contract extensions and repatriations. Remote Working/Cross border Working Approve and Track Cross Border Remote Work Agreements, in conjunction with WPP Project Work/WPP Drive the mobility related projects through planning, development, launch, and stabilisation and close. The projects include: Global Mobility Policy; ROI & analytics; tracking systems; case management systems, equity, and invoicing Continue to work on risk adverse solutions to the ever-changing employee experience Help manage periodic updates to process documentation such as point of contacts, process flows and maps, and system access Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experience in managing and administering international relocation policies and programs Demonstrate understanding of the end-to-end relocation process for all move types Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in mobility Solid work ethic and self-starter attitude is essential for this role Have a proven track record as a pro-active and self-motivated professional Possess the ability to use good judgement when advising the business on appropriate actions Ability to deal effectively with change and ambiguity Confidence in building relationships with all levels of staff Be an advocate for the employee – we are literally moving their world, let them know we understand and are here for them Be a communicator.
