UK Head of KYC Client Onboarding
Glasgow or Northampton
As a Barclays UK Head of KYC (Know Your Customer) Client Onboarding, you will be responsible for managing teams onboarding/completing KYC for clients onboarding to the Corporate and Investment Bank. For this role, you will line manage onboarding team leaders and oversee day to day activities of the team as well as stakeholder reporting. Protecting Barclays Corporate and Investment Bank against regulatory and/or reputational risk from financial crime is also part of your responsibilities.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. • Accounting for meeting the Regulatory obligations in the execution of Customer Due Diligence checks undertaken as part of KYC
- Managing day to day service delivery to the Corporate and Investment bank and ensuring our clients are reviewed in line with AML policy
- Driving strategy in region in conjunction with Financial Crime and Front Office
- Spearheading change initiatives and process improvement across Onboarding function in region and globally
- Navigating robust compliance and regulatory training across all staff and locations
- Identifying, escalating and resolving key productivity and control issues and trends
- Monitoring and reporting of key performance and control indicators
- Supervising Onboarding Team Leaders and driving operational improvements during new procedure role out across regional jurisdictions
• An exceptional leader with the ability to successfully build and manage teams and functions
- Demonstrates gravitas with the ability to manage and influence at a senior executive level across both internal and external stakeholders and clients
- Extensive Operational Management experience and understanding
- Experience of Operational Banking/Financial Services experience
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to balance the need to meet regulatory requirements along with excellent client and colleague engagement
- Process optimisation experience across complex, regulatory in nature processes
- Detailed understanding of Investment and Corporate Banking industry, specifically focused on AML/KYC processes
- Numerical and analytical skills gained in a professional environment with a proven track record in financial services industry

Northampton
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
