An opportunity to work for a small design studio specialising in building and providing enterprise software, primarily for big names within the world of Financial Services.
The client
This Digital Product Studio has been going for over 10 years now and specialise in building and providing enterprise software, primarily for big names within the world of Financial Services, such as JP Morgan and Bank of America.
They have 6 products so far, ranging from a focus on the future of Data interaction through to Automated UI testing at scale.
They’ve recently moved to a trendy new office in South West London, which includes it’s own gym, wellness area, kitchen etc.
NOTE: The whole team work full-time in the office and so you’ll be expected to do the same i.e. 5 days a week
No sponsorship is being offered at this time.
The role
They have a small design team which includes a Head of Product and other UI Designers. They also have an offshore development team.
Looking for a UI Designer (UX knowledge will also be useful, but not essential) who’s eager to learn and develop. But you’ll still need to have worked as a UI Designer in a commercial role, previously.
- Using Figma, you will turn concepts into pixel perfect, functional designs and prototypes.
- You will continuously work to optimise designs with an iterative approach.
- Help the design team organise and maintain components, libraries and general design system.
- Ensure clear communication and delivery of designs to development teams.
- Help raise the bar for their user experience and user interface execution.
The candidate
Although they’re focussed within financial services, they’re not looking for someone who already has that sector experience.
They want someone who will approach the work with fresh thinking, rather than pre-existing ideas and conceptions about the industry.
You’ll also need;
- Demonstrable passion and excitement for designing user interfaces and interactions for digital
products. - Eager to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert in Figma.
- Understanding of Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Focused primarily on UI, and micro-interactions. They’ll want to see interesting visual explorations for products in your portfolio.
INTERVIEW PROCESS;
- Initial call with The Head of Product
- Small Figma based design challenge
- Meet the founder
If this sounds of interest to you and fits your experience then please ASAP with your CV and portfolio to stand the best chance of getting an interview!
