We are seeking an enthusiastic, personable, committed and patient teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with complex learning, social, emotional, behavioural needs, and developing their learning.
The teacher would be required to work as part of a team on a part time basis, delivering a bespoke curriculum to a child looked after with complex needs in a community venue.
? Set challenging teaching and learning objectives.
? Use teaching and learning objectives to plan lessons, and sequences of lessons, which clearly show how learners’ knowledge, skills and understanding will be assessed.
? Personalise learning to address individual needs including seeking the views of learners on what would help them achieve their potential.
? Use a range of monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate learners’ progress towards planned learning objectives and use this information to improve their own planning and teaching.
? Provide colleagues, parents and carers with timely, accurate and constructive feedback on learners’ attainment, progress and areas for development using supporting records and other evidence.
? Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the professional duties and responsibilities of teachers and the statutory framework within which they work.
? Employ appropriate teaching strategies to secure positive behaviour.
? Employ appropriate teaching strategies to promote wellbeing.
