Job description
We are looking for an exceptional Tutor with experience of delivering vocational qualifications and functional skills, supporting learners through their learning Journey to successfully achieve qualifications within Adult Skills.
The role of a Tutor will be supporting our learners undertaking vocational/functional skills qualifications, including Maths and English in our centres to fully achieve timely, successfully and to a high standard.
You must have experience of providing information, advice and guidance to the learners.
Working to quality standards and completion of targets.
Assisting with the enrolment of learners and gaining referrals.
Organising and maintaining documentation of learner’s progress to a high standard.
Experience of using and maintaining an e-portfolio.
Working closely with the IQA team and maintaining a high standard of quality.
Person Specification
· Assessor Qualification (A1, D32/33, TAQA, CAVA) or willingness to work towards
· Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths, English and ICT or willingness to work towards
· Experience of using an e-portfolio system
· Experience of delivering vocational qualifications successfully
· Strong IT Skills
· Recognised teaching qualification e.g. PGCE, PTLLS or equivalent
· GCSE English Language or equivalent (Grade A*-C)
· Competencies and background in Customer Service, Hospitality, Health and Social Care and Retail.

Size and Scope
The successful candidate may on the odd occasion be required to work from any of our other PHX Training Centres.
Additional Information
Hours: 37.5 hours a week (including 30 min lunch each day)
