TTRO Assistant
Working Pattern: 37 hrs per week - Monday to Friday
Location: West Bridgford, Nottingham

The Job
We are looking for a TTRO Assistant to join our Street Works & Road Works Team.
Key areas of responsibility will include: -
- To process applications for Temporary Traffic Restrictions and Temporary TROs / Notices for all kinds of activities on the Highway to facilitate works and events
- To draft legal documents including Orders, Notices and Adverts to create enforceable traffic restrictions
- Comply with all aspects of the Road Traffic Regulation Act and statutory associated procedures, obtaining NCC Contract Management approval, sealing of Orders, advertising and posting of Notices to ensure that restrictions are enforceable
- Keep clear and concise records, adhering to ISO and other defined practices and ensure that all chargeable activities are fully identified and costs are recovered
- Respond to enquiries from internal and external customers, and ensure that works and event promoters are kept informed of progress of their applications to enable works and events to take place at the approved dates
- Consider traffic signing proposals applicable to TTRO / N to ensure that they are fit for purpose and compliant with regulations
- Liaise with CPU, Parking Managers and Enforcement Contractors to facilitate the efficient and effective implementation and enforcement of restrictions.
The Person
Mainly you will be excited to be a part of our environmental projects, but there are just a few other things we’d like from you:-
- Highway and Street Works knowledge is ideal but not essential
- Good written English skills
- Good ICT skills
- Working knowledge of current legislation, policies and procedures applicable to traffic restrictions
- Experience of Financial processes, and dealing with, internal and external queries in person or via email or over the phone
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise workload and react to customer queries in a busy office environment
