The Class 1 driver for the MTS Contract will have the responsibility of driving a trailer down to our Ashford Depot in Kent and assisting with the unload of customer ordered tyres, before returning back to Greenford. This will occur daily, from Monday to Friday with no requirement to work weekends.

Salary: £35419.86 + Shift allowance of £3948 per annum. Plus overtime at x1.5 rate.

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday - 00:30 – 09:30 daily.

How will you contribute?
  • Responsible for the delivery, unloading and return of 1 trailer from Greenford to Ashford daily.
  • Ensure the manual unloading / loading of tyres is carried out In an accurate & timely manner.
  • Ensuring all delivery and collection notes and paperwork are correct.
  • Ensuring all transport legislation including drivers hours and defect reporting is adhered to.
  • Ensure sure paperwork is correctly filled out
  • Collaboration with the wider team to continually improve ways of working & processes.
  • Ensure all Legal, Health and Safety, Food Safety and Operational procedures are always adhered to ensure the safety of self and others.
  • Report any injuries, accidents and any Health and Safety issues.
  • Adhering to procedures and practises according to the training received.
  • To participate and be involved in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement
  • To carry out and other reasonable request as detailed by the transport management team.
  • Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles and wear uniform and any PPE provided.

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Experience in class 1 driving is essential.
