Job description
Due to our continuing expansion, we have an excellent opportunity for a HGV driver, to join our team. The successful candidate will have to possess a certain level of physical fitness, as they will assist the driver’s mate with loading and unloading of goods.
To apply for this role you will need the following:
- A clean valid Drivers Licence, with entitlement to drive Cat C HGV vehicle
- no penalties or endorsements
- Previous experience in is preferred but not essential.
- Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude.
The job role of an HGV driver includes the following duties:
- Operating commercial vehicles up to and over 7.5 tonnes.
- Driving long or short distances
- Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers
- loading and unload goods
- Lifting and carrying goods
- Making sure loads are safely secured
- Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary
- Completing delivery paperwork
- Keeping up-to-date logbooks
- Carrying out basic routine maintenance, such as oil, tyre and brake checks
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £12.00-£12.50 per hour
