Waste Connections of Canada the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America is looking for a Spare Driver to join our team in Kamloops, BC.

We are looking for an SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.

• Full time role
• $31.66 per hour

• Shift is any 5 days from Monday to Saturday - start 5:30 am - 7 am

• 8-10 hours a day - OT- time and a half after 8hrs and DT after 10

  Be home daily!

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safe and efficient operation of vehicles
• Daily inspection of Trucks and accurate completion of related paperwork
• Excellent Customer Service
• Various maintenance and cleaning tasks around the shop

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Class 3 driver’s license with Air endorsement (Newly licensed drivers welcome to apply)
• Clean CVOR and Abstract
• Manual labour involved
• Able to start working around 6:30 am
• Capable to work up to 10 hours per day
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment checks.

Main Responsibilities:

• Accompany the Driver through dense areas for waste pickup.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through reliable service (e.g., arrive on schedule, pick-up all bins, clean up waste that falls out of bin when lifting, relock/reclose bins

Extremely Physically demanding role:

• Exposed to the elements: heat/cold, rain, snow.
• Climbs in and out of truck at each customer site
