Job description
What's involved with this role:
Contract to start on 25-07-23 until 17-10-23 with a possible extension.
Key Duties:
- To drive all vehicles specified by management (subject to license entitlements) as required by Southwark Commercial Waste Services.
- To report to the Business Services Manager or an officer delegated with the responsibility.
- To ensure vehicles are road-worthy before, during and after each shift and carry out safety checks as detailed in the drivers’ log books.
- An understanding of, and commitment to, the Council’s Equality and Diversity Policies in connection with employment and service provision is REQUIRED.
- A full, clean class 1 or class 2 heavy goods vehicle licence for LGV drivers is REQUIRED.
- A minimum of 2 years experience of working in a cleaning, grounds maintenance, waste management or related work environment as a driver/ LGV driver is REQUIRED.
