Post: Class 2 Driver – Refuse Collection Vehicle

Location: Lancaster

Salary: £13.40 per hour

Hours: 40 Hours

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday 05:00 to 14:00 with occasional overtime when required. Optional Saturday shifts available.

Purpose of the role:

To responsibly and safely drive the refuse collections vehicle (RCV) around the designated routes, collecting recycling and/or waste products from customers’ sites and take them to the designated tipping site. To always operate in a safe manner, following the Company’s safety guidelines and procedures.

Main role responsibilities:

· To collect general waste and recycling from commercial customers and bring sites in the Lancashire area.

· To safely drive and work on company refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) and assist as an operative as required

· To always operate in a safe manner, following the Company’s safety guidelines and procedures

· To ensure paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date

The work is physically demanding at peak periods and applicants should be reasonably fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications / Experience

Essential: A driving licence appropriate to the LGV vehicle (C or CE)

A valid Driver CPC

A digital tachograph driver card

Desirable: Previous LGV driving experience.

Rear steer experience
