The Opportunity
Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We are looking for a number of Back Office and Front Office Treasury Analysts to join the Sizewell C project.
The Back Office Treasury Analyst will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day cash management activities, cashflow forecast, back office dealing operations and a wide range of projects and ad-hoc tasks.
The Front Office Treasury Analyst will have responsibility for the reconciliation, analysis and presentation of daily external cash positions as well as acting as the front-line contact for cash and liquidity management.
Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
The Role
We are looking for Analysts to prepare and execute treasury settlements as well as provide support for payment execution across the project and maintain a key front-line relationship with the project’s transactional banks.
You’ll be responsible for the confirmation and validation of financial instruments including debt, foreign exchange, and interest rate results.
The role will allow you to ensure that treasury master data and external SSIs in the Treasury Management System (TMS) are 100% accurate and maintained in accordance with internal procedures and controls.
The Skills
You’re likely to be ACT/AMCT part or fully qualified or have a qualification through experience.
You may have experience of working in a back/front office for a corporate treasury or bank, but the role may also suit an accounting or finance professional looking to make a first move into Treasury.
It would be expected of you to understand cash management, payment processing and banking practices.
It would be great if you are familiar with third party platforms associated with Treasury Operations such as Treasury Management Systems, Reuters / Bloomberg, 360T/FXall and internet banking platforms.
Attention to detail and an appreciation of the importance of maintaining good controls and procedures is essential.
If that all sounds like you, then we’d love to hear from you! A full job description is available on request.
