An opportunity has arisen for a travel trade account managers to join our dynamic travel agency. We require travel industry business development experts to attract and retain new business to our growing portfolio of travel trade customers around the UK. Your main role will be on the road in the UK visiting local independent travel agents, introducing them to Brightsun Travel and our products, services and benefits and driving the expansion of our b2b business arm.
You should have at least 5 years sales, account management and business development experience in the travel agency arena, and have in-depth product knowledge about the airline industry. Holiday sales experience would be a bonus.
You must have a proven track record of business development and retaining new customers in your previous employment.
This is an all-encompassing role in which you will manage and be responsible for new accounts, existing accounts, sales, b2b customer interaction, administration and work closely with internal travel consultants on new business and briefing them on the needs of the trade accounts. There is also a requirement to work with the marketing team to ensure the trade is aware of training/incentive opportunities. The job is on a permanent basis and with opportunities for bonuses and commission based on performance. You must have excellent communication skills, enjoy working autonomously and as part of a team. A friendly, smiling and can-do attitude are also essential to the role.
You must have a UK Valid driving license, as company car will be provided for trade promotion.
Salary £28-38k dependent on experience.
Role of Trade Account Manager:
- Business development – attracting and retaining new b2b business
- Promoting Brightsun Travel’s products and services to the trade
- Cold calling to set up new appointments
- Working closely with internal staff on handing over accounts to staff
- Achieving new business targets
- Managing existing b2b relationships
- Generating marketing ideas to attract new b2b business.
