Job description
Travel Consultant - Latin America & Africa
Job Description
We are a small specialist Tour Operator that sells tailor made holidays to Latin America & Africa, predominantly through independent Travel Agents. We are members of AITO, the Specialist Travel Association.
We are looking for someone with substantial previous experience of selling tailormade holidays to join our small, friendly and supportive team. Experience of selling some or all of our destinations in Latin America and/or Africa would definitely be an advantage, but is not strictly necessary.
We are looking for applicants with excellent sales, communication and customer service skills, as well as the confidence, personality and initiative to learn quickly and become a valuable member of our team.
As the majority of our business is from travel agents, we are looking for candidates who can build relationships as well as seal the deal!
Since May 2021 our team has successfully been working remotely, based in the Cheltenham/Cirencester area. During the initial training period the applicant would be expected to spend 1-2 months working at least 1 day per a week at our team's home offices in Cheltenham & Cirencester to get up to speed and get to know the team. After that the role would be remote, but with opportunities to meet up with the rest of the team for support (and socialising!) as often as desired.
The successful candidate will be based in, or near to the Cheltenham or Cirencester area to allow for regular face to face contact. They will also be conscientious and able to work on their own initiative. But we will provide lots of training and support and as well as regular opportunities to travel to the destinations that we sell on educational trips.
