Award winning independent travel agency Travel by Hannah is looking for a motivated individual to join the team as a Travel Consultant on a full-time basis, to be working in store on Marlborough High Street.
(Hybrid split or flexible working may be considered for the right candidate)
My focus is to find the right motivated individual to work with like-minded industry professionals taking pride in being attentive, customer centric, travel lovers with a drive to be the best in the industry.
You will directly be dealing with clients’ needs from point of enquiry to after-sales, in store and working with customers from all over the UK in person, on the phone and over the internet in our thriving independent travel agency.
You must have the ability to sell, excellent administration & communication skills.

We focus on tailormade travel but are adaptable for our clients booking everything from river cruise, ocean cruise, sports packages, rail breaks, UK breaks, expeditions, escorted tours, multi-stop itineraries, private jet getaways, family packages, short haul, long haul, solo travel, adventure travel, yacht holiday, city breaks, skiing and snowboarding, Lapland, tropical beach breaks, eco lodges, yoga getaways, honeymoons, destination weddings, plus so much more.
You should be adaptable as no day will be the same.

This is a hands-on role, where you will use your organisation, destination knowledge and sales skills daily.
DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Interacting with clients to determine their specific travel needs while building rapport and trust.
- Creating bespoke travel itineraries and competitive quotes.
- Converting enquiries into sales by tailoring a package specific to the client’s requirements.
- Follow up with leads promptly, building, managing, and planning your pipeline of sale to achieve shop targets.
- Completing daily administration and tasks for the store.
- Dealing with the day to day running of the store including operations and brochure stacking.
- Market the business and actively promote, market yourself as a strong ambassador of the brand and products on offer. This is required to be achieved in person and on various online platforms including social media, such as Facebook and Instagram to maintain and grow engagement and leads.
- Attend/Complete training and development for all staff, working with the appropriate training teams to ensure appropriate formal product and reservations system training is a good standard as well as utilising and sharing first-hand experience of the destinations.
- Ensuring the sales performance of the business as a team and your contributions to that are equal.
- Being a main contact for customer service issues that require resolution.
- Contributing to marketing ideas and business development possibilities to help continue the success and further growth of the business.
-Develop and maintain a relationship with clients through focused account management.
-Working as part of the team as required.
-Create/contribute to campaigns to engage current and new customers.
-Take ownership and accountability of work and bookings ensuring 100% booking accuracy.
-Demonstrate willingness and flexibility to assist with customer queries.
-Manage your sales pipeline and bookings using our physical records and online systems.
-Have a good understanding of office 365 and general computer IT skills.
-Ensuring GDPR regulations are adhered to.
-Following the set booking process and adhering to regulations of ABTA membership.
-Excellent written and spoken English.
THE DETAILS
The advertised position is for someone for average 37.5 hours a week.
These hours are based on working 5 full days (open – close) a week including Saturdays.
Work patterns are shared on a rota basis which you will receive in advance.
Sunday’s and bank holidays are not included in work pattern as standard.
Some flexibility is required on occasion.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
A genuine passion for travel, proven ability to sell and deliver outstanding customer service is essential. Excellent attention to detail and thinking outside the box is encouraged, whilst providing competitive prices, products, and services for clients with your personal touch from our extensive tour operator and product options.
You will need to have a good travel and geographical knowledge to be able to complete this role.
You should thrive during periods of pressure and high volume of work and being able to work as an individual and to contribute to create and upbeat, motivating environment for the team is required.
A previous minimum of 12-months experience in the travel industry is ideal, with desired
experience working in a sales role.
It will be beneficial to have good knowledge of tailor-made itineraries and a good understanding of the luxury travel market is preferred.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive industry appropriate salaried pay package reflective of experience combined with incentivised sales targets, promotions and FAM/educational trips will be offered where possible following probation completion.
Full training will be provided.
The positions on offer: 1 role on an employed permanent basis for a full time in-store position.
A part time/flexible/hybrid role may be considered for the right candidate.
