Based at 100 Temple Street nr Temple Meads in central Bristol
An opportunity has arisen to work within City Transport which aims to increase sustainable modes of travel across communities and subsequently increase physical activity of the population.
The role will help design and deliver a comprehensive active travel and engagement programme for a variety of transport projects to support a behaviour change towards sustainable modes of travel.
The role will promote the benefits of sustainable travel modes to individuals, communities, and businesses.
You will build up a rapport with key stakeholders and work with under-represented groups on transport projects such as Liveable Neighbourhoods providing support and advice on sustainable travel options.
The role will promote the active travel offers available, manage the implementation of roadshows, and advocate the associated health benefits. The person will also use technology to help monitor travel behaviour change within projects through the recruitment of volunteers and workshops.
You would need to demonstrate:
- experience of behaviour change projects,
- be motivated, enthusiastic and a team player,
- educated to degree level or equivalent
- have experience in partnership working
- understand monitoring techniques and analyse datasets

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
