Job description
Due to steady growth, Eglinton Timber Products require a Transport Administrator to join our busy Transport Team. The successful candidate will support the Transport Planners, co-ordinating the transportation of goods on behalf of Eglinton Timber and their customers as per the delivery schedules and availability, as well as general office administrative duties.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the transport planners as needed.
- Maintain and plan accurate safety inspections of trucks and trailers.
- Maintain accurate infringement records for drivers.
- Co-ordinating consignments with customers and drivers, in accordance with delivery schedules and work availability.
- Engage with customers and drivers in a friendly and professional manner.
- General office admin duties.
- Action any other elements to fulfil the operational needs of the business.
Person Specification
- Transport Office experience preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Good computer literacy, written and oral communication skills.
- Have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and drivers.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt to rising situations and work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.
Salary dependent on experience.
