Transport Coordinator Normanton, Yorkshire and the Humber, England
Job description
We have an opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join our Operations Team and be based in Normanton. The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicles, drivers, service provision and routing for the North and will be accountable for providing a compliant, cost effective service to agreed SLA's.

Role responsibilities*
- Schedule analysis and planning and cost up new opportunities Maintain and update vehicle files
- Arrange hire vehicles for VOR and services and arrange transport for disposal slots
- Organise and prepare transport paperwork, analyse and coordinate solution of any issues/delays between driver and disposal outlet
- Keep spreadsheet of all logistics - movements, tonnages, Locations, service provider (3rd party/SSL)
- Schedule analysis and planning, cost up new opportunities and maintain and update vehicle files
- Arrange hire vehicles for VOR and services and organise TFS Sharps and pharms
- Re route jobs as required and update relevant spreadsheets
- Deal with any paperwork issues with disposal outlets
- Driver recruitment and Training
- Driver hours checking infringements
- Insurance checking and accident reporting and fuel checking
Experience required
- Minimum 2 years route optimisation and planning experience from a similar Transport Coordination role
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of transport regulations and compliance.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and have good planning and organisation skills
- Competent use of Microsoft packages with intermediate Excel skills
