McLaren Packaging is a specialist supplier of premium and luxury paper-based packaging to the UK drinks sector, with a strong focus in Scotch whisky. The business is going through a period of sustained growth and investment within its sites in Port Glasgow and group companies throughout central Scotland, as demand increases for our products.
Due to this growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a transport co-ordinator to join our team working in our busy, fast paced head office in Port Glasgow. We are looking for an individual who shares our passion and drive to deliver excellence in customer service.
Within this role the transport co-ordinator will be the main contact between our manufacturing teams, customers, and external logistics partners. They will be responsible for:
· Liaising with approved transport companies to arrange collection and delivery of customer orders.
· Planning schedules and manage weekly deliveries and collections for internal transport.
· Generating and completing of required paperwork in relation to customs clearance processes.
· Liaising with customers to work flexibly and agree delivery slots to receive their orders.
· Liaising with production on completion dates of customer orders.
· Helping shape development of transport plan to create best in industry delivery service to our customers.
· Maintaining specifications in system.
· Placing customer orders onto internal IT system.
· Assisting with general office administration.
· Maintaining a high level of customer service and develop relationships.
Skills / Experience
· Experience of working in a transport administration role.
· Experience of organising transport and problem-solving skills along with a keen eye for detail.
· Fully PC literate: Windows and MS Office especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
· Self-motivated individual who can efficiently prioritise needs / demands, where there isn’t an obvious solution.
· A team player with good relationship and communication skills.

Salary: £20,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
