We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate individual to work as part of our Transition team for young people with type 1 diabetes at University Hospitals Dorset. This post is new to our team following a successful bid for investment to demonstrate the long term benefits to our patients and families.
The Youth Worker is an integral member of the type 1 diabetes clinical team and will work closely with the Transition Nurse Specialists and Transition Co-Ordinator. You will support young people with diabetes to develop the cognitive, social, and emotional skills needed not only to live well with diabetes, but to thrive in life.
If you have a passion for engaging with patients to support them through challenging times and improve their long term health then we would be delighted to hear from you.
