Why this job matters:
This role is accountable for the delivery of existing billing process improvement opportunities leading a team of billing continous improvement direct reports who are responsible for the delivery of the improvement work packages. This will involve working across business improvement teams to drive NPS / Performance improvements across billing processes.

The continous improvement of our Business billing processes is a key step in driving experience across customers and colleagues. It is also critical to our success through audit findings and linking to wider improvements across multiple areas of the business. Key findings from the continous improvement work will also feed into our end state vision roadmap for billing across people, processes and technology. You’ll be measured on the delivery of benefits, including significant improvements in Customer and Colleague experience and effieciency savings.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Overall leadership of the continuous improvement work packages within billing transformation to deliver clear benefits both operationally and to customer experience.
  • Working across multiple business improvement teams to ensure alignment to the end state vision for billing.
  • Management and leadership for a team of continuous improvement direct reports, providing guidance, support and vision for the team. Providing a productive and enjoyable working environment through people management.
  • Management of audit findings relating to billing or invocing processes and working across multiple stakeholders to ensure these have a plan to address.
  • Leading/directing process mapping activities relating to billing processes to identify pain points and actionable changes through work package management and delivery.
  • Interfacing and working across multiple teams for example sales, operations, finance to ensure the work packages meet their needs and support the changes needed to land effectly into BAU process.
  • Ensuring key delivery partners (Digital, Networks and OR) support the programme as required.
  • Managing the key sponsors and stakeholders through efficient updates showing commitment and time to deliver benefit understanding.
  • Builds understanding of the impact to the business of delivering any continuous improvement activity and develops different options on delivery taking into account impact, risk, end state vision and customers.
  • Creates understanding across the business (technology, network, process, and people) of the Billing continuous improvement needed / to be deliveried so functions can start planning how to manage, plan and implement.
The skill you'll need:
  • Continuous improvement skills from identification of opportunity through to delivery.
  • Benefit management of change through excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Leadership of medium to large teams, coaching for performance.
  • An ability to communicate to senior stakeholders with the ability to be able to convert detailed complex processes into business value drives and articulate positioning.
  • Strong problem solving skills with a clear line of sight to benefit realisation.
  • Ability to deliver inspiring communications and engagement plans and work collaboratively across the leadership team.
What we'd like to see from you:
  • Experience in a billing or invoicing related field showing the ability to improve small and large scale processes.
  • Experience working with partners, vendors and cross functional teams to develop and optimize work packages
  • Experience of managing people and providing leadership through colleague support and engagement.
  • Experience of mitigating risks, implementing best practices, and following strict governance procedures
  • Experience of working with auditors, partners and vendors to optimise work packages.
