We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Project Manager to join our ambitious Transformation Team. You will join a team of fellow professionals working within the Communities and Opportunities directorate, which spans a multitude of services from Housing to Libraries, Economic Growth to Sport and Leisure.
As a Project Manager with West Northamptonshire Council you will play a key role in supporting us on our transformational journey, shaping the design and delivery of a major transformation portfolio that spans the whole of the Communities and Opportunities directorate.
Interviews will be held week commencing 10th July at One Angel Square, Northampton.
What will you be doing?You will manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects that will have significant transformational impact that will need to be delivered on time and within budget.
You will track benefits and performance alongside managing risks, issues and dependencies.
You will manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, helping to resolve risks, issues and conflicts.
You will be working across the organisation, seeking out the experts in the services we support and collaborating with colleagues in IT, HR, Finance and Communications to deliver our transformation portfolio.
About youYou will have:
Extensive experience of working within a project management environment including your experience of managing resources.
The ability to drive, monitor and report on project progress.
Experience of managing stakeholders at all levels, including your ability to influence and appropriately challenge the status quo.
Flexible approach to managing numerous projects, working well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Proven experience of working collaboratively with enabler services such as IT, HR, Finance, Legal and Communications to achieve results.
Experience in PRINCE2 or other project/programme management. You will have sound knowledge and experience of change management methodologies and follow robust processes to ensure your projects run smoothly.
