DUTIES
  • Lead a team of ~5 direct reports and operate as part of the Transformation Leadership
Team
  • Develop, support and effectively performance a team of Project Managers as well as
wider Transformation team
  • Planning and delivery of core transformational projects in line with internal control and
financial guidelines
  • Define and manage the criteria for control of programmes of work, creating an
environment where all aspects of the programme (progress/issues/risks/resources) are
effectively managed.
  • Present an accurate view of programme deliveries; ensuring change control is managed
tightly. Identify and facilitate trade-offs within and outside managed programmes as
appropriate.
  • Ensure effective resource planning, working closely with resource owners to ensure
effective allocation of common resources and skills within the IAG Cargo.
  • Ensure effective communication to all stakeholders.
  • Challenge focus of the change projects to meet targets and initiate extra activities
wherever gaps are identified.
  • Provide adhoc consultancy to departmental managers on standardised IAG Cargo
project management principles, techniques, methods and tools.
  • Facilitate delivery through a culture of continuous improvement, acting as a champion for
driving day-to-day process improvement
  • Relationship and supplier management with external suppliers and key stakeholders to
ensure design and delivery solutions meet business needs
  • Embed change into the organisation at all levels
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with accountable business owners and
senior managers on all projects, acting as a trusted advisor and business partner in the
successful delivery of project

PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • Strong people leader with ability to motivate cross functional teams
  • Proven change management experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Able to create “one team” approach across disparate members of project teams by
sharing best practice and common programme/department goals
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Ability to translate a strategic approach to a set of project deliverables
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage complex and often unique issues
creating relevant clarity in areas of ambiguity to force decisions.
  • Demonstrates resilience
  • Ability to make constructive challenge

Experience Desired
  • Proven project management/change management experience demonstrated by a
successful track record of managing complex change programmes to cost, quality
and time
  • Broad experience of working on change projects in a variety of business areas.
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced, changeable environment with new
technology/products and working practices.
  • Solid stakeholder management, including senior management, warehouse staff, and
external supplier management
  • Desktop tools including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc
  • People management
