ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Programme Manager – Finance Transformation you’ll collaborate with other Managers within the Finance transformation programme to deliver our finance strategy.

This newly created role is pivotal, as you’ll empower our people to achieve our transformation by implementing governance and providing the right level of leadership to motivate teams, as well as providing coaching and mentoring to set teams up for success.

This position will have the responsibility of partnering with finance and IT colleagues, ranging from Board and first line level Programme sponsors, to project owners and members of project teams, to create a project strategy and drive this forward. The role involves detailed collaboration with Project teams in both a supportive and challenging capacity as well as being an advocate for change by influencing and educating stakeholders across the function.

The Finance function at Bentley has around 100 colleagues across controlling, accounting, legal and compliance areas. It has close collaboration with VW Group partners across all areas and has a strong focus on business partnering.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supporting the definition, development and refinement of the Finance Strategy and allocated Strategic Programmes
  • Quantifying the impact of the strategic projects together with project leaders, both financially and operationally
  • Maintaining and driving allocated strategic Programmes and projects, collaborating with project teams and leaders to whilst challenging to ensure successful achievement of programme goals
  • Stakeholder and change management – clarifying concerns, ensuring conflict management, providing support to help cope with change in allocated projects
  • Ensuring that robust project management tools are in place for allocated strategic projects, including project review landscapes and governance
  • Presenting regular status updates and signal the need for decision and direction to the Board Sponsor and Finance first line
  • Creating and leading aspects of communication activities as assigned: e.g. events and activities to increase awareness of strategy and strategic projects to all colleagues at Bentley

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a Senior Project Manager, Programme Manager or similar role with demonstrable experience leading change and transformation at scale within a complex business.

  • Experience in a similar role in Strategic Project Management, Project Management, Change Management, is required
  • Experience in at least 2 of the following key criteria i) process re-engineering ii) IT system implementation iii) finance processes and systems
  • Demonstrate capability to balance the requirement to drive projects to conclusions, with challenging teams to achieve the best outcomes and with a supportive coaching style that shows personal commitment to deliver project outcomes
  • Experience and strong knowledge of project / programme management tools and techniques
  • Experience in strategy deployment, strategic project management, process improvement techniques, people and process change management
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of core business strategy and process
