Job description

PCSO Transferees - Permanent Contract

Location: Alcester, Atherstone, Bedworth, Coleshill, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Nuneaton, Rugby, Shipston-on-Stour, Southam, Stratford, Warwick, Warwickshire, Rugby

Hours: Full Time (37 hours) or Part Time (18.5 hours) available

Salary: £21,135 - £23,406 (plus shift and weekend working allowance)

Please note, if the role is part time then the salary quoted will be pro rata based on the hours worked per annum.

These posts attract the following allowances

Shift Allowance: 14%

Weekend Working Allowance: 11.08% full time; 8.33% part time

An interview will be arranged with a representatives from the Safer Neighbourhoods Teams to discuss your reason for transferring will be discussed.

Throughout the process we will assess your suitability to join through the transferee route and where a training needs analysis highlights further development prior to transferring, you will be invited to apply via one of our initial learning programmes. You will be required to provide copies of your training records, your last PDRs (personal development records), print outs of your complaints and misconduct record and any awards and commendations from your personnel record.

A Fitness test, medical review, and biometrics testing will be conducted along with Professional Standards checks and security vetting. We will also request references including a HR reference from your Force.

On successful completion of the recruitment checks we will look to place you on the next available course, if applicable. Please be advised that the process from applying to start date may take approximately 6 months.

Police Barred and Advisory lists


Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the police for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
