Job description
Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Resource Coordinator to work on our UKPN SSEN contract in Stevenage.
As the Resource Coordinator you will responsible for allocation of up to 100 directly employed staff plus contract labour across a number of in build projects. We also have up to 20 electrical apprentices that require monitoring and overseeing to ensure they are getting the correct care and development.
MES is proud to be a key partner on the UKPN ED1SON Alliance & SSEN Framework Contract, delivering substation build and refurbishment works across the East of England including design, project management, on site cable installation, building construction, jointing, switchgear installation, bunding, commissioning, decommissioning and demolition.
As the Resource Coordinator your responsibilities will include:
- Overall responsibility for ensuring labour is allocated to the live construction sites, on time and with the right skills for the task
- Schedule and deploy resources to cater for current and future operational requirements
- Understanding of monthly forecasted turnover to review forecasted labour requirements
- Leading programming meetings with Project and Contracts Managers to discuss high level resource and future schemes
- Managing change through weekly discussions with Project & Site Managers
- Developing competency of operatives to ensure that we have future resilience
- Reviewing and monitoring of training requirements
- Monitor and review Apprentice training and report progress to Contract Management
- Build strong and effective relationships with Operational Teams
Skills & Knowledge Requirement
- Previous experience within the Electrical / Civil engineering and building industry
- Understanding of the skill levels and competencies required to carry out construction works within a High Voltage environment
- Previous experience of Resource Management
- Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation
- Knowledge of training qualifications and accreditations in the construction industry
- Full Driving License
