The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for creating and delivering training via web-based delivery to support ongoing training efforts. Emphasis will be placed on communication, teaching and presenting skills that ensure the end-user fully understands the expectations required to perform their core functions and have a thorough understanding of the training documentation and resources available. Primary Responsibilities for this position are to:
Deliver Instructor led and Web based training to new hires and existing employees on new systems, program launches as well as topics including soft skills, processes, and procedures.
Conduct front-end analysis to identify instructional goals; performance gaps and needs assessment.
Understand the workflow and system process needs of each partnership.
Translate needs analysis and functional specifications into an audience-appropriate, clear, and concise course design.
Create and maintain instructor materials (course outlines, instructional materials, and training aids) for both internal and partnership training engagements.
Contribute to the effective development, coordination, and presentation of system training for all employees including role specific training and new hire onboarding.
Coordinate internal training sessions including and not limited to scheduling conference rooms, having materials prepared, checking technical specs, etc.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback to management and leadership.
Act as a point of contact for end user's questions and concerns.
Work with end users to promote best practices.
Position Requirements:
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
Proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools, especially Office 365 suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Team Player with the ability to maintain working relationships with various departments and staff
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of and experience with a variety of training tools and multimedia techniques
Ability to learn and implement innovative training solutions.
Work experience with virtual learning environments
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree is required in Business, Communications, Instructional Design or related field of study
1+ years of training experience required
3+ years of comprehensive admissions and/or student services experience preferred
Compensation: Up to $70,000.00 annual based on location. This is a remote role
Academy of Art University is based solely in San Francisco, California. This job opportunity may be available for remote work from a predesignated location within the contiguous United States.
