About VWFS and the role
We are on an exciting journey and are looking for a Training Manager to join our evolving Customer Operations team. This is a newly created role that will create the strategic vision to roll-out customer-centric training for 300 + operational colleagues and outsourced partners.
You will lead a team of training consultants who will deliver hands-on training on business critical activities on regulatory requirements, system changes and operational processes. There is plenty of scope to make a real impact in this role by introducing new and online solutions to help drive efficiencies across the operation.
This is what you will be doing:
- Define and lead the Customer Operations Training and Competency plan to ensure that colleagues can demonstrate having the skills, knowledge and expertise needed
- Lead, develop and manage the Training team
- Determine, design and evaluate effectiveness of all training
- Continuously identify and deliver new Training techniques and technologies in order to drive learning engagement and effectiveness
- Manage Senior Customer Operations stakeholders to ensure wider strategic objectives are achieved
- Challenge training needs and ensure prioritisation is aligned with delivering good customer outcomes
- Measure, track and report the return on investment of training initiatives
- Present at the monthly meetings to articulate Training risks, plans to mitigate and training effectiveness
- Be responsible for all Training MI
- Engage with external training companies to explore specialised technical solutions
- Prepare and present training recommendations
- Be the point of contact for colleagues across VWFS on all Training requests
- Manage the outsource partner relationships from a Training perspective
- Collaborate with the L&D department to ensure that training initiatives and activities are aligned
- Maintain a sound understanding of key regulatory obligations applicable to the motor finance industry to ensure you operate in the spirit of delivering good customer outcomes
These are the skills and experience you can bring to the role:
- Proven Training and Management experience ideally within a commercial or financial services environment
- People leader with success of driving high performing teams
- Demonstrable experience of developing and designing training strategies within a contract centre environment
- Senior stakeholder management experience
- Proven experience of designing and delivering training in an engaging way utilising accelerated learning techniques
- TAP or CIPD qualified or qualified through experience
- Experience within the Financial Services and/or relevant Automotive sector(s), or alternatively, experience of operating in B2C environments
