Our Bolton site is currently seeking 3 in-house trainers (one for each shift)
Hours – 35.5 hours per week,
Shift 1 - Core hours Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00
Shift 2 - Core hours Monday - Friday 14:00 - 22:00
Shift 3 - Core hours Monday - Friday 22:00 - 06:00
Flexibility is fundamental to carry out this role as the candidate will be required to cover holidays and absence, within a reasonable notice period, across all shifts. Weekend working during peak operational periods may also be required.
The role
We are changing the way we deliver training for our colleagues, and as part of this we are introducing a new trainer role for each shift.
As a Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering training to our staff, developing and updating training materials, and providing ongoing support to ensure that our staff are fully equipped to undertake their role in line with mandatory and site practices.

Key Responsibilities for the Trainer role include:
· Training and evaluating new staff on equipment and processes.
· Training and evaluating existing staff on new equipment (cross training).
· Keeping accurate records of training sessions and evaluations.
· Reviewing SOPs during the training process and recommending changes.
· Delivering refresher training on equipment and processes in line with the business needs and to ensure methods are up-to-date.
· Updating training materials and resources - including records / matrices etc.
· Identifying areas where further training would improve H&S / GMP / Efficiency.
The ideal person for this Trainer role will possess, or be willing to obtain, the 'Train the Trainer' qualification, IOSH Managing Safely, and Level 3 in HACCP and Food Safety for Manufacturing. They must also have:
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately assess and evaluate staff performance
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
