Barnes Roffe Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Coordinator to join one of their clients based in Enfield.
The role:
- To develop, manage and implement training, learning and development work within the company.
- To devise a Training strategy for the company assessing the skills and knowledge within the company and determining what training is needed to grow and retain these skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify training needs within the company through job analysis, appraisal schemes, and regular consultation with Business Managers and Human Resources.
- Design and develop training and development programmes based on the needs of the organization, and the individual.
- Keep and update training matrix of all mandatory training for all staff based at all 3 sites
- Build and produce training programmes from scratch (from the initial idea through planning, implementation, review and analysis), that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in the company, such as line managers, senior managers and at Board level.
- Consider the cost of planned programmes and keep within budgets.
- Plan and assess the ‘return of investment’ of any training or development programme.
- Assist in developing effective induction programmes for new staff.
- Monitor and review the progress of new staff through questionnaires and discussions with managers.
- Devise individual learning plans and assist with conducting appraisals
- Produce Training materials for in - house courses
- Create and/or deliver a range of training using classroom, online and blended learning to HO staff and franchisees.
- Manage the delivery of training and personal development programmes
- Ensure that statutory training requirements are met
- Evaluate training and development programmes
- Amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
- Help line managers and staff solve specific training problems, either on a one to one basis or in groups
- Work closely with and influence senior leaders and stakeholders
- Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
- Keep up to date on new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning from time to time
Ideal candidate:
- Training qualification (level 3 or above)
- The ability to develop a variety of online training resources
- Experience of drafting, demonstrating ability to assimilate and understand complex information quickly and explain issues clearly
- The ability to communicate effectively, diplomatically, and persuasively with a wide range of people
- The ability to establish personal credibility with a range of stakeholders
- The ability to work effectively under pressure
- The ability to organize and prioritise your own workload with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proficient in using micro-soft Outlook, Word, Excel
