Job Title: Receptionist/ Training Administrator
Location: Portsmouth Naval Base
Salary: Up to £28,200 depending on Skills and Experience
What you’ll be doing:
The role is a 50/50 split between working at reception and administrative tasks
Reception:
- Portsmouth Naval Base Dauntless Receptionist including support to external visitors/dignitaries
- Manage the Change Academy facility
- Liaise with GFA Manager ( on e.g post room) and other interfaces with LOT providers
- Support management of Reflexion room
Administrative Tasks:
- Escort on and off site external training providers and any off site training delegates whilst on course ( utilising Chaperone service where appropriate)
- Be the contact for Naval Base security ( early supplier arrival, off site delegates
- Print and provide Training suppliers with course material
- Print and forward course materials to delegates as required
- Maintain the refreshment stock for the training facilities. Including ordering and collecting.
- Source, cost and organise alternative training facilities when needed.
- Support external training systems, DSE ( Cardinus) and driving risk management system (AA Drive Tech)
Your skills and experiences:
- Experience in a multi-tasking administrate role within the Business Support function
- IT literate. MS office suite, MS word, Excel spread sheets & Pivot tables & Power Point
- Experience working with full Microsoft Office package
- Ability to quickly understand and assist with staff’s work routines, procedures and systems across their area.
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work Flexibly to suite business needs / working arrangements.

The Safety Health & Environment team:
You will join part of a Safety Health & Environment department of some 30 professionally trained staff, health & environmental advisors, safety advisors and an occupational health department fully staffed with specialist nurses. Within this role no 2 days are the same preparing and delivering numerous courses within PNB and the local areas of Portsmouth, Broadoak & Cowes.
