Our Thetford CDC plays a pivotal role in the success of our business and are responsible for ensuring that we deliver to an extensive network of local customers.
As driver trainer for Thetford CDC you would need to hold a valid C+E Licence, to have a flexible approach to working times as it would be expected for you to be able to work across the AM and PM shifts, primarily this would be AM shift. You would be reporting directly to the Transport Manager.
As an Alliance Healthcare delivery driver, you will be the face of the company whilst delivering our products and as such health and safety will be paramount to you. You will always therefore be expected to maintain a safe a competent standard of driving.
About You
It goes without saying that you should have a full, clean UK driving license: (C+E) you will also have a smart appearance, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to customer care.
Key Accountabilities
- Annual Driving Assessments
- Driving assessments following RTI’s as required
- Monitoring Telematics
- Vehicle Check Monitoring
- Monitor and book - Driver CPC training
- Holiday and sickness cover on daily routes
- To deliver assembled orders to our customer base in the East of England to a set delivery schedule, accurately and consistently.
- Ensure safe manual handling techniques are used and correct use of MHE appropriate to the role.
- Working alongside and within a team environment.
- Responsible for always working in a safe manner in accordance with road transport law, drivers’ hours regulations and Health & Safety regulations
- Driving in a safe and fuel-efficient manner at all times. Working to and complying with local legislative requirements & company policies and procedure
- Working to operational key performance indicators and as an individual / team member work to address any shortfalls. Working within a physically demanding environment.
- Annual training covering all aspects of the driver’s role.
You will have previous experience as a Delivery Driver, Multi Drop Delivery Driver, HGV Driver or similar and have a willingness towards being flexible and supporting other team members as required.
