Trainee / APPRENTICESHIP - WOVEN CLOTH MENDER
ALFRED BROWN (WM) LTD manufacturing fabric used for fine worsted suits in UK for over 100 years. A family firm with a friendly working environment. We supply woven cloth to companies all over the world including Paul Smith, Marks and Spencer and Next.
Full Time WOVEN CLOTH MENDER
Would suit someone with excellent sewing skills, good concentration levels and an interest in weaving. Or a school leaver looking for a career in the weaving industry.
Job Specification -
- Inspecting woven cloth, manually weaving broken yarn ends into cloth and checking for any other faults or damage and repairing them to the high standard required.
- Picking contamination from the fabric
- Checking for faults
- Good hand to eye co-ordination.
- Good concentration levels and eye sight are a necessity due to the fine nature of this work.

- Apprenticeship scheme with Huddersfield Textile Training available.
