If you have on-farm experience and looking for career development, we have just the job for you!
We are offering full training to become an approved TB tester. You’ll visit farms across Devon, recording the Farm Data for the Mole Valley nutrition team in association with the Molecare Veterinary team.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Location: Based at our Lympstone Veterinary Practice, near Exeter
Contract Type: Permanent
Contracted hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
What you’ll be doing as a On Farm Sample & Data Recorder…
Observe cows for locomotion, condition and cleanliness
Ensure recorded data is delivered in a way compatible with their milk contracts
TB testing, working with Vet to get results recorded
Working with nutritionists and vets to provide services to the clients to improve on farm productivity
Faecal Egg Counting
We’d love to hear from you if you have….
Minimum 6 months experience of handling farm animals and confidence with talking to farmers
Ability to work in an emotionally demanding environment
Ability to use tact and discretion when dealing with difficult situations
A full clean UK driving license
Have 3 GCSE’s or equivalent
