Location – York Centre
As trainee manager you will learn the ropes in this family business working alongside the senior management team within your main store as well as supporting other stores in the local area. This role is a fantastic steppingstone towards store management within this Yorkshire based food retail business. The suitable candidate would ideally come from a retail or hospitality background and have previous supervisory/team leader experience so they can work towards a clear progression plan, comfortable working at a fast pace they will need to have a high levels of customer service.
Role:
· High levels of customer service – interacting with customers daily
· Hands on approach to the role
· Involvement with all hygiene activities & practices
· Assist the Shop Manager with basic merchandising, bake off & sandwich making.
· Daily reporting & cash handling
· Training of junior team members
· Continuation with planned training programme
Requirements:
· Prior experience within the retail or hospitality sector
· High levels of customer service
· Team leader or supervisory experience
· Excellent written, spoken & numeracy skills.
· Knowledge of EPOS systems
