Starting salary £24,286pa with potential progression to £26,125pa on achieving designated skills and experience
The council is seeking to recruit a Trainee Solicitor to undertake a training contract and to gain admittance to the Solicitors’ Roll.
The council will consider applications from applicants who have successfully completed the Legal Practice Course as well as from Applicants who, whilst they may not have successfully completed the Legal Practice Course, have a law degree or equivalent and are able to self-fund their achievement of the Legal Practice Couse.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Legal and Land Charges Service, within Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, as a Trainee Solicitor

What We’re Looking For
A candidate with a good law degree or equivalent (minimum 2:2), who has: (i) experience of working in a legal service or law practice office environment; (ii) a strong understanding of the law; and (iii) an ability to apply the law to practical situations
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake training across contentious and non-contentious areas of local authority law and local land charges.
