TRAINEE SOLICITOR
BACKGROUND
Scorpio is a Monaco-based international group of companies, comprising two companies listed on the
New York Stock Exchange (the “ NYSE”) and many private companies, which has been investing in and operating shipping assets since 1971. Scorpio is a leading service provider engaged in the seaborne transportation of commodities and petroleum products and one of the leading wind turbine installation vessels companies. It provides full technical management and commercially manages a fleet of 150 + vessels from offices across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.
1.1 POSITION PURPOSE
Trainee Solicitor. The position will be based in our Monaco office with the possibility for time to be spent in the London and Mumbai offices.
1.2 RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Paralegal experience preferred.
1.3 BUSINESS/INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
Interest / background in the Shipping industry.
1.4 KNOWLEDGE – EDUCATION & FUNCTIONAL
- Completed the Legal Practice Course or be eligible to complete the SQE.
- Passed LLB or higher undergraduate degree (English or other common law jurisdiction) with a 2.1. Grade
- Graduated from one of the top 20 UK Universities.

1.6 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The trainee will have exposure to the following areas:
1. Corporate / Projects;
2. Transactional shipping / Ship finance;
3. Contentious shipping matters / Litigation; and
4. Commercial Contracts.
