At our pre-clinical development site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, we are currently recruiting for a Trainee Scientist to join our In Vitro Cytogenetics lab in the Genetic Toxicology department.

The main responsibilities will include:
- Cell maintenance and cell culture
- Treating cells with test articles
- Culture wash off
- Maintaining lab cleanliness, supplies and tidiness (cleaning, calibrations, reagent prep and disposal, waste disposal etc.).
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and equipment records within laboratory areas.
- Accurate recording and data checking
- Good timekeeping and organisation

Education:
- Educated to BSc level in a relevant life science subject
Skills / Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Practice
- Previous experience of pipetting preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Familiarity with standard spreadsheet and word-processing software applications
- Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
