FM Conway is seeking a Trainee Road Marking Operative to join our industry leading Surfacing division. Our Surfacing division encompass all the essential activities needed to keep the UK’s roads in optimum condition. We have worked on a range of iconic road markings in Central London, some of which include Pride crossing outside Wembley Stadium, Abbey Road and Remembrance Day in Richmond. This is a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Trainee and gain the training required to become skilled in road marking, no experience in the industry is required but a passion and willingness to learn is key. This is a permanent, full-time position based from our Beddington Lane depot in Croydon.

Responsibilities of our Trainee Road Marking Operative
- Undertaking road marking activities and always adhering to safe working processes
- Carrying out road marking work with care, using the appropriate tools and safeguards
- Highlighting resources required to complete work targets effectively
- Undertaking professional development and training required
- Undertaking any necessary traffic management activity
- Acting in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices
What we’re looking for in our Trainee Road Marking Operative
We are looking for a motivated and passionate candidate who has a keen interested in the construction and highways industry. Although not essential, it would be beneficial to have prior experience of working in a construction environment and have the ability to delivery high quality work. You will understand the importance of Health and Safety legislations and ideally hold a CSCS card.
